Shoulder Diseases

Shoulder problems commonly occur and since it’s a joint we use a lot in our daily lives it can be  very discomforting. Patients should take shoulder pain serious to prevent any possible dislocation become chronic. The location of the problem and for how long it continued is very important in shoulder problems. Shoulder diseases can be treated successfully, however patients shouldn’t wait for long times and consult a doctor if the pain isn’t going away.

Causes of Shoulder Pain

  • Corrosion of the bones around the joint, usually seen at athletes and elder patients
  • Osteoarthritis in the shoulder
  • Fractures or cracks
  • Compression of tendons or tendon infections
  • Joint capsule problems decreasing the range of motion
  • Infection in the shoulder

Other Possible Causes of Shoulder Pain

  • Some neck problems (pain on top of shoulders)
  • Some heart or lung problems (pain on the front of shoulders)
  • Pancreas or abdomen problems (pain towards the back)
  • Diabetes
